The gossip magazines are reporting that Rochelle Humes from the Saturdays and her husband, JLS member Marvin Humes, have received a lavish gift from fellow JLS member Aston Merrygold – a luxury pram designed by none other than Aston Martin. The £2,000 [Aston Martin Edition of the Silver Cross Surf] (http://www.silvercrossbaby.com/aston-martin/) uses the same leather that appears in the prestige cars, and the attention to detail is impressive. The seat pad is lined with a high-quality suede called Alcantara, and the handle and bumper bar is lined with super-soft leather. Moreover, the aluminium alloy wheels (with puncture-free tyres) are a replica of the wheels on the super-rare and super-expensive [Aston Martin One-77] (http://www.astonmartin.com/cars/one-77), and the chassis is “precision-engineered” for a “blissfully smooth ride on any terrain”. The pram also features air-ride suspension and an “ultra-lightweight magnesium alloy structure”. To top it off, there is a chrome Aston Martin branded central bar, so everyone will know how flash you are. The price tag won’t surprise those who have perused the range of accessories on the Aston Martin website - [£20 for a keyring] (https://store.astonmartin.com/showproducts.asp?category=Leather&Item=299) does seem rather steep – and it might not even surprise today’s parents, who are accustomed to paying around £700 for their baby’s pram. Owners of the limited edition perambulator will also receive an authenticity certificate and an engraved chrome plaque (each pram is individually numbered): the lucky Humes baby will be one of only 800 who gets to travel in a pram like this. They are being sold exclusively in Harrods from April 1st so, if you want your newborn to travel in 007 style, you had better be quick.
