What is the Accounts Academy?

The Accounts Academy is a graduate accountancy programme that offers graduates a route to completing their ACCA qualification within a multi-million-pound company.

This three-year graduate programme will offer the experience you need to become a professionally qualified branch accountant.

As a platinum approved ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) company, we offer excellent on-the-job training, bespoke training courses at our leading-edge training facility, GTG, and full study support towards the ACCA qualification.

Why apply to the Accounts Academy?

This scheme offers a fast-track route to becoming a Branch Accountant in one of our 200 branches.

Arnold Clark is a platinum approved ACCA company, which means as you follow our in-branch training plan, you will gain all the experience and practical skills required by ACCA without the need to complete the ACCA logbooks.

We will fully support ACCA study using an award-winning online 'live' platform from one of Europe's leading professional study providers.

Arnold Clark can offer fantastic career prospects. For the right candidates, the opportunities to progress further within the company are many and varied and previous entrants on this scheme now hold positions such as Group Accountant, Area Accountant and Senior Franchise Accountant.

What happens on the accounting graduate programme? If accepted, graduates will start their accountancy journey with us in between June and August this year. Based in an Arnold Clark Accounts Academy branch, members will work alongside our experienced accounts teams, learning the ins and outs of the job.

Over the three-year programme, you will learn all aspects of branch accounting, from base level tasks such as purchase ledger, cashiering and credit control right up to full balance sheet control, profit forecasting, month-end management accounts production, budgeting, year-end accounting and VAT returns.

Kirsty Malloy, a successful 2017 Accounts Academy graduate said;

'The Accounts Academy gives you so many opportunities and can lead to you carrying out a wide range of roles so you can get a really varied experience of what it means to work for Arnold Clark.'
