Experience a thoroughly modern driving experience with the all-new Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
Striking exterior
The A-Class has always been an attractive car, but this new sleek design takes things to a whole new dimension. The streamlined chassis is much lighter than the previous model, and its sporty accents make it look fresher than ever. In fact, the A-Class is best in class for aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient of 0.25.
Feel at home
Mercedes has really excelled with the A-Class’s interior. The intuitive design and upmarket materials make this a real game-changer in the compact car class.
The premium feel begins with the comfortable leather seats and extends to the widescreen touchscreen display, complete with an all-new MBUX infotainment system, which offers HD graphics worthy of a top-of-the-range smartphone and artificial intelligence for individualising the user experience.
Forward-thinking technology
The high-tech cabin is absolutely packed with innovative new features that will not only keep you entertained on the road but will completely revolutionise your driving experience.
Some of the advanced software available in the A-Class includes augmented-reality navigation which overlays arrows and street names over images from your car’s camera; particularly handy for navigating new routes.
All models also come equipped with a personal assistant, which can be activated simply by saying ‘Hey Mercedes’. This handy voice-recognition tool is ready to help with anything from adjusting the in-car ambient lighting, to advising you on the day’s weather forecast.
There’s even a steering wheel touchpad, just in case leaning over to the 10.3-inch infotainment screen is too much of a stretch.
How does it drive?
Improved suspension and sound-proofing mean that the new A-Class is incredibly comfortable and quiet to drive.
There are three engines to choose from, an A180d diesel, a 1.3-litre petrol (A200) and a sporty 2.0-litre petrol (A250). All come with a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
Practical pointers
Having a range of quality engines and class-leading tech won’t cut it on its own. A car needs to function, too. But don’t worry, the A-Class has plenty of room for passengers, some handy storage pockets and 60:40 split folding seats so you can adjust the seating to suit your needs.
The boot space is big enough to fit a couple of small suitcases and the weekly shop and can be extended to a large load space with the rear seats folded.
