Arnold Clark employees decided to donate £500 to the West End Women and Girls Centre.
The Centre provides support through group work where the members have the opportunity to meet, have fun, learn skills, look at issues relevant to their lives and generally build confidence in a safe and supportive environment. The donation will be used to provide cookery classes to 20 women and girls.
Joe Crolla, General Manager at Newcastle Ford said,
‘Hufty and the team do a phenomenal job at the West End Women and Girls Centre. They help women and girls feel safe, looked after and part of the community, teaching them life-changing skills along the way. We’re incredibly proud to be able to support this facility that is local to our branch.’
Hufty Reah, Centre Co-ordinator said,
‘West End Women and Girls Centre are grateful for the kind donation from Arnold Clark. The money will be used to provide activities and services to women and girls from the west end. In the current financial climate donations like this are more important than ever in keeping grassroots neighbourhood organisations like ourselves afloat and we cannot thank the Arnold Clark enough.’
