People across the globe will come together next month to mark World EV Day – a celebration of sustainable travel and electric vehicle (EV) ownership.

At Arnold Clark, we want to prepare our customers for the future of driving – and to celebrate this special occasion, we’re inviting you to a unique, one-off event at the Arnold Clark Innovation Centre in Glasgow on Friday 9th September.

Thinking of going electric? Well, this is your chance to find out everything you need to know at the Arnold Clark World EV Day Experience.

Highlights of the event will include:

  • A tour of the Innovation Centre and a chance to find out all you need to know about alternative fuel vehicles, charging and new technology.
  • A meet and greet with our team of experts – you’ll learn what kind of impartial and well-researched advice the centre can offer you on electric vehicles.
  • A chance to test-drive electric vehicles from the vast selection we have on site – these will be available every 30 minutes.
  • Food, drink and a chance to take home an exclusive Arnold Clark goodie bag.

Visitors will be able to learn about alternative fuel vehicles, charging and future technologies; get a bespoke tour from our team of experts and test-drive the widest range of EVs on the market.

This will be an open session, taking place from 11am until 4pm.

If attending, and if you would like to test-drive any of the vehicles on site, please remember to bring your driving licence and DVLA check code or national insurance number.

The Arnold Clark Innovation Centre is located at 701 Dumbarton Road, Glasgow, G11 6NA.

The Innovation Centre opened last year, with the aim of educating visitors about the benefits of alternative fuel vehicles and why they are becoming so important.

There are no sales at the site, which is specifically an innovation, information, and educational centre.

You can also learn about the different types of charging and generous government tax and grants available if you're thinking of moving to electric.

We have also recently opened a second Innovation Centre in Stafford, England.
