What do you do when you order a tyre-themed cake and it is rubbish? Sell it on eBay

If you are a bride-to-be, bored of the usual three-tiered cakes you see at every wedding, you might be tempted to go pun-tastic and order a cake with tyres instead.

According to the Huffington Post, this is the mistake made by Celia in Northumberland.

Tyre wedding cake #fail
In an attempt to be humorous and a bit different, she ordered a 'tyre cake' from a local supplier, expecting it to be smooth, black and look exactly like a stack of tyres.

Instead, she received a grey, lopsided monstrosity that looked nothing like the pictures she had seen online.

So disgusted was she with the cake that she didn't even attempt to eat it, and tried to sell it on eBay with the following description:

"A few defects due to maker being unskilled. Uncut, along with large amount of awful cupcakes for free. No topper or decoration. Unusual design. Very heavy."

She later added: "Please note this cake will be inedible, therefore I do not take any personal responsibility if any part is eaten by the buyer."

Not only did the cake get little interest (other than from the media and Twittersphere), but she was forced to remove the posting after it was pointed out that cakes were probably not suitable for resale on the auction site.

Since she probably isn't keen to try a tyre cake again any time soon, we might suggest she goes for a cool racing track cake or a 3D Lightning McQueen effort.

For those of you who desire a really authentic-looking stack of tyres... we sell the real things.
