After a successful three month campaign encouraging motorists to enhance their road safety by checking and replacing their worn tyres, Arnold Clark is delighted to announce Mr Murray from Stirling as the lucky winner of the Arnold Clark ‘Buy a Tyre, Win a Car’ competition 2013.
Mr Murray was drawn from over 23,000 entrants and has won a new car after visiting his local Arnold Clark Volvo dealership on Kerse Road, Stirling.
On collecting the keys to his new Dacia Duster, a delighted Mr Murray commented: “I can’t believe it – I never win anything. When I found out I was in the final I said to my wife 'I’ll probably get the bottom prize', so to have won the car is just amazing – I’m still in shock!”

With increased rainfall and dropping temperatures, the road surfaces during the winter months are among the most dangerous and are more likely to lead to road traffic accidents and deaths. Arnold Clark found that with unfit tyres, the odds of an accident increased.
Research has shown that compromising on tyre quality to save money in the short term can also have a detrimental effect on motorists’ safety.
In September, October and November, Arnold Clark dealerships throughout the UK helped motorists by offering free tyre safety checks and tyre advice, and provided customers with the chance to win a Dacia Duster when they purchased a new tyre.
