Toyota has announced that the new Toyota Auris Hybrid model, due for launch in June 2013, tops its Family Hatchback class with CO2 emissions of 84g/km, making it the cleanest car in its class. This is a 3g/km improvement on previous models in the Auris range.
The new Auris Hybrid model has undergone a variety of aerodynamic and tuning enhancements to improve its overall energy efficiency without compromising the car’s performance and style, gaining it recognition as the lowest C02 emitting car in the family hatchback category.
Committed to continuously improving its cars, Toyota reported that the improvements to the Auris Hybrid range, including new aero-stabilising fins in the rear glazing, have proved popular following the unveil of the Auris Hybrid Touring Sports model at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2013, which displayed some of these cutting edge emission improvements.
Toyota mentions that it is sure this full hybrid model Auris, the latest addition to the new generation of Auris cars, will be well received this summer.
