Soon enough, waiting in traffic could be a thing of the past! A Slovakian company called AeroMobil look set to display a prototype of the most advanced flying car to date at Vienna’s Pioneers Festival at the end of the month.

These developments have been a long time coming. The initial patent was first registered in 1903 but it seems to have finally picked up momentum over the last two decades and people are massively excited about the prospect of a flying vehicle.

Speed-wise, the AeroMobil 3.0 is capable of doing speeds over 160 km/h and in the air, it can reach 200 km/h and more.

The prototype weighs in at 450kg and has a slick two-seater design. Pervious versions have managed to fit into a standard parking space and could be filled up at a regular petrol station so it’s exciting to see what the latest version will have in store.

A few years ago, it looked like Terrafugia were going to be the first to pioneer this technology, but AeroMobil has stepped up and made the first 'production ready' flying car yet.

Recently, CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk said he 'wasn't sure about flying cars', due to the sky becoming too cluttered, and the risk of cars falling on your head!

Over here, we're seriously excited about these developments, and can't wait to see the new version of AeroMobil's flying car in Vienna.
