Škoda Fabia named What Car? Car of the Year 2015
The annual What Car? Awards took place this week with the ultimate award going to the Škoda Fabia 1.2 TSI 90 SE. The hatchback was named Car of the Year 2015, beating 25 other new cars on the shortlist, including the Ford Fiesta and VW Polo. In addition the supermini from Škoda also won the small car category beating the Dacia Sandero, Mazda2 and the Vauxhall Corsa among others.
Škoda Fabia features:
The Škoda Fabia supermini is a functional car with plenty of space and features, with a wide range of engines on offer. With sporty looks this practical yet stylish car has a chassis that is 65kg lighter than its predecessor, and you can really feel it. The petrol engine options have great fuel economy, and low CO2 emissions, and this model boasts a true mpg of 44.9 and has been awarded a five-star Euro NCAP rating.
The rear seat space is enough to accommodate fully-grown adults on the rear seats, unlike many small cars.
Who’d have thought after years of ridicule Czech brand Škoda has turned themselves around to be an award-winning car manufacturer, with not only one car in the winner’s list but two? The Škoda Octavia picked up the What Car? Family Car of the Year award.
