‘It’s About You’: How a song can make an advert

Arnold Clark’s new ‘It’s About You’ campaign is based around our commitment to listening to you, our customers, learning all about your wants and needs, and finding the perfect car for you.

Choosing a song

Arnold Clark’s Marketing team decided to go with Klingande’s 2013 hit ‘Jubel’ for the new TV advert, because of the positive emotions the song evokes, and, of course – that sax solo.

The advert

Arnold Clark Marketing, Global Scotland Creative and STV Creative collaborated on the making of the radio and TV advertising.

In the TV ad, you can see our customers going about their daily routines, alongside an invisible car. The decision to have an invisible car in the advert was made to emphasise our commitment to finding a car to fit our customers’ individual needs and lifestyles.

STV Creative and Global Scotland Creative have also assisted Arnold Clark with the creation of our ‘60 For a Reason’ advert which used Ellie Goulding’s ‘Lights’ as the soundtrack, and our ‘Real Sale’ advert which used Nero’s ‘Me and You’ as its backing track.
