Congratulations to Arnold Clark sales executive, Joe Bunting, who has reached the highest standard of the Kia development plan by achieving the Platinum award from the Kia Academy.
Last year, Joe was awarded the Gold Award and became the first salesman in Scotland to gain one.
To reach Platinum level, Joe had to first reach Bronze, Silver and Gold, which has taken him a total of five and a half years to complete. In order to achieve Platinum status, you must first have held the Gold award for a minimum of six months. Jason Berwick, Kia operations manager at Arnold Clark, was so impressed with Joe’s progress, that he put him forward for the Platinum award at the first opportunity.
If you’re not familiar with the Kia Academy, here’s what you need to demonstrate excellence at each level:
- Bronze – customer experience, effective selling and a web-based course.
- Silver – generating new customers, test-driving and technical knowledge.
- Gold – business sales, legal training and the selling of Kia approved used cars.
- Platinum – excellence in advanced customer handling, generating sales opportunities, all product knowledge modules, legal basics and mystery shops (email, telephone and face to face).
We caught up with Joe and he told us:
‘I really enjoy the challenges that come along with being a sales executive, and moving to Arnold Clark in March last year has helped me further my career and make some real achievements. I love helping customers find their dream car, and keeping up to date with Kia; a brand I really care about.’
Excellent work, Joe! We hope you continue to have a long and successful career with Arnold Clark.
You can find Joe at our Edinburgh Seafield branch.
