Sleek, compact and utterly enviable, the 5-door Vauxhall VIVA will join the Vauxhall Adam and the Vauxhall Corsa as a vibrant new addition to the manufacturer’s city car range. With a powerful range of features across its two trim levels, there’s excitement in every turn of the steering wheel.
Style, inside and out
The VIVA’s exterior will cut an elegant dash, whether it’s powering through city streets or drawing attention on country roads. And there’s significant substance beyond the surface, with the features to back up the finish inside.
All-new ECOTEC engine
This is the first Vauxhall to feature the new 1.0 litre, 3-cylinder ECOTEC engine, which can manage an impressive 62.8mpg with just 104g/km emissions. For those hoping to be as kind as possible to the environment (and give road tax a welcome swerve) the ecoFLEX option will take CO2 submissions down to just 99g/km. What’s more, a 75ps power train has been specially developed for the VIVA to make every drive smooth, punchy and efficient.
A choice of stunning features
The VIVA features two trim levels: SE and SL. Standard specifications are stunning, and drivers of the SE trim should expect a few surprising extras, including tyre pressure monitoring, lane departure warning, cruise control and front fog lights with cornering. With the SL, the luxury is ramped up with climate control, Bluetooth music streaming, six speakers and tinted rear windows.
If the name VIVA rings a bell, refer back through automotive history to the heyday of the original model from the 60s and 70s to which this new iteration pays homage. It might boast provenance, but this VIVA tells an altogether more cutting-edge story, with its fully connected IntelliLink infotainment system and seamless integration of Apple iOs and Android devices.
