Skoda also performed well in the overall car makers survey, coming 4th only behind Honda, Lexus and winners Jaguar.

The Yeti received an impressive rating of 83%, scoring highly on the following factors:
- Vehicle appeal – performance, design, comfort and features
- Vehicle quality and reliability
- Ownership costs – fuel consumption, insurance and service/repair costs
- Dealer service satisfaction
The average for all models was 77.6%, with Alfa Romeo Mito plunging 70 places to 115th place, with a score of 70.7%.
As for the survey itself, it is worth noting that the average age of respondents was 50 years old. This survey does not, therefore, reflect well the views of younger car owners – a point reinforced by Jaguar coming out on top of the car makers list.
Skoda – a car brand on the rise
Skoda is a manufacturer on the up. The Volkswagen Group subsidiary sold 939,200 cars in 2012, with sales in the UK increasing by 17.6%.
Sales have been steady for Skoda so far in 2013, with the company delivering nearly 300,000 vehicles between January and April, and the new Rapid and Citigo models receiving a positive response throughout Europe.
April 2013 also saw the Skoda Yeti come out on top of Auto Express’ Driver Power survey. The Superb and Octavia models also finished in the top 10.
The award-winning Skoda Superb and Skoda Yeti are both available now from Arnold Clark Skoda dealerships in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness.
