The Kia cee’d has been given a new lease of life. There has been revisions to all three cee’d models; the five-door hatchback, the estate (Sportswagon) and the three-door procee’d. There’s something in the range to suit everybody.
New engines and gearbox
These models will be the first to include Kia’s new eco Turbo three-cylinder turbo petrol engine. There are three new turbo charged engines – two petrol units and one diesel – plus a seven-speed double clutch (7-DCT) automatic transmission for use in conjunction with the new diesel.
A new seven-speed DCT gearbox has been introduced and will be also be added to additional models in the future.
All three cee’d’s offer a 1.4-litre petrol engine and the five-door and Sportswagon will also offer the 1.4-litre turbodiesel. The GT models are powered by a 201bhp 1.6-litre T-GDi.
Sporty exterior
You can enjoy sportier looks without the racier running costs with the GT Line trim that was first revealed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Kia plan to add them to more models in the future. The GT-Line trim is available on all three models and comes with 17-inch wheels and racier looking front air intakes. Suspension is also altered on the rear of the GT Line.

There has been an upgrade to the three cee’d body styles to give them more of a hot-hatch style. The oval-shaped grille mesh will feature on all models except the GT-Line and GT. There has also been a front bumper redesign with flatter grille and making it look sportier with a wider stance.

Interior style
The gloss black dash materials have been highlighted with chrome features, offering a stylish interior space. Kia has worked on improving noise reduction, which is easily evident, especially on the diesel model.

Technology upgrades
In-car technology is at its highest level for the cee’d with this re-launch. With driver assistance features such as Speed Limit Information Function that helps reduce the risk of driers going over the speed limits put in place by law, as well as Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Parallel Park Assist System, you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable drive.
