Fiat and the domestic appliance company Smeg have teamed up to create an unusual Fiat 500 style fridge, called the ‘SMEG 500’. The iconic Italian brands first unveiled the design in Paris at the Colette store, marking the beginning of a new design venture for Fiat.
Since partnering with Smeg, Fiat has confirmed it's interested in moving into areas of design outside the automotive sector. The company has already produced some unique furniture designs as part of the ‘Fiat 500 Design Collection’, which includes a table, a sofa and a console that have all been inspired by the Fiat 500.

The fridge comes in a choice of white, green or red (no prizes for guessing which flag inspired those colour choices) and has been crafted from the front end of a classic Fiat 500. The fridge is fully functional and has a 100L capacity. Particular attention has been paid to preserve the original design features of the car – the fridge features chrome bonnet hinges, headlights which light up and a control panel inside, styled like a Fiat 500 dashboard.

If you’d like a closer look at the fridge, it’s currently on display in the window of Colette and can be ordered directly from the Fiat Design Site from June.
We don’t have a Fiat 500 fridge on offer, but we do have a great selection of deals on the Fiat 500.
