You will be asked to carry out a reverse manoeuvre on your test, this could be a reverse bay park, a reverse around the corner or a parallel park. The important thing to remember when you are carrying out a parallel park is to observe, move slowly and steer quickly.
On your test the examiner is looking for you:
- to reverse into a space of approximately two car lengths,
- to park your car at the kerb safely, smoothly and under control,
- to maintain observation throughout the manoeuvre,
- to be parked not too close to the parked car, and
- to not touch the kerb while manoeuvring.
