The London Motor Show is the first motor show in the UK’s capital since 2008.

While the show may not be as well oiled as annual counterparts Detroit, New York, Frankfurt or Geneva– they’re not short of impressive exhibitors.

You can expect to see 35 different car brands at the show, ranging from Aston Martin to Ford, Jaguar and Rolls-Royce.

130 models will be displayed over the three days and there’ll be several UK debuts.

Here we run through the cars we’re most excited to see at the show.

TVR gets back in the game

Welsh based supercar company TVR is ready to make its first public debut and we absolutely can’t wait.

TVR recently announced plans to develop their new V8 model, designed by Gordon Murray and tuned by Cosworth, at a new factory in Wales.

Hopefully they’ll come along to the London Motor Show with a bit more of a fully-formed look at what we can expect than the concept images we’ve seen so far.

MG’s first SUV

The MG GS will make its official UK debut at the London Motor Show.

Pitted as the new rival for the likes of the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage, the GS takes styling cues from the MG3 and MG6 and is powered by a 2.0-litre direct injection petrol engine capable of whizzing from 0–60mph in 8 seconds.

SVR to relaunch Noble M600

First seen on Top Gear back in 2011, the Noble M600 remains the 12th fastest car to make it around the Top Gear Power Lap.

Work has taken place since the manufacturer’s Leicester factory to improve the M600 further.

Each car will be custom-built to suit individual buyers and everything is created from scratch according to the customer’s specification – even down to the paint!

Powered by a V8 twin-turbo engine producing 662hp and 605lb-ft of torque you could blink and miss it as the M600 speeds from 0–62mpg in 3.5 seconds.

A one-off Land Rover Defender Ultimate

The last Defender to roll off the production line

Land Rover Defender production ended earlier this year but the Defender will defiantly raise its head again at the London Motor Show.

Kahn Design will reveal a one-off design fitted with custom components to create a fitting tribute to this iconic vehicle.

McLaren 570GT makes its UK debut

After being unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the McLaren 570GT will be brought back to British soil for its London debut.

The most expensive of McLaren’s supercar trio (also consisting of the 570S Coupé and 540C Coupé), the 570GT has been called ‘the most usable and luxurious McLaren ever made’ by AutoExpress.

The 570GT is surprisingly practical, with 220 litres of boot space, but no luxury is spared, with a panoramic glass roof, soft-close doors and full leather upholstery.

The 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 engine means the 570GT is a pinch quicker than SVR’s Noble M600, reaching 0–62mph in a lean 3.4 seconds.
