The British Olympic Association has announced Nissan as its first major sponsor since the London 2012 Games.
As a tier one sponsor for the BOA, Nissan are also a sponsor for the British Paralympics Association in the run-up to the Rio 2016 Games.
Speaking at the media launch in Central London, Lord Sebastian Coe, Chairman of the British Olympic Association, said: ‘I am delighted that Nissan, a company that is recognized globally for excellence and performance, is partnering with Team GB on the ‘Road to Sochi and Rio’.
The BOA is aiming to raise £42 million over four years, a similar sum to the four years before London 2012. Nissan will also provide vehicles to the BOA and BPA, enabling the organisations to deliver world-class logistical support to Britain’s Olympic and Paralympics athletes. Nissan will also supply over 4500 vehicles to support the Olympic and Paralympic events.
