The all-new Ford Transit Connect, available from late 2013, will provide van drivers with class-leading fuel economy, load carrying ability and durability, according to Ford. It is priced from £13,921 and will be sold alongside other members of the brand new Transit range – the all-new Transit Custom and the upcoming Transit Courier and two-tonne Transit (due in 2014).
Barb Samardzich, Vice President Product Development, said: “Ford has taken the toughness and dependability of the current Transit Connect, made considerable improvements to the fuel efficiency, added smart new loadspace features, and delivered a dynamic new style. The all-new Transit Connect sets new standards for compact vans and provides the perfect partner for a wide range of businesses.”
Developed in Essex at the Ford’s commercial vehicle centre of excellence, the Connect will be produced at their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Valencia, Spain.

* The stated fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are measured according to the technical requirements and specifications of the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 as last amended. Results in MPG also correspond to this European drive cycle and are stated in imperial gallons. The results may differ from fuel economy figures in other regions of the world due to the different drive cycles and regulations used in those markets.
