Arnold Clark Citroen in Armadale was visited by the children’s charity Dreamflight as they collected a £10,000 donation made by the motor dealer.
Every year the Dreamflight charity send 192 deserving children from across the UK, accompanied by a team of medical carers, to Orlando, Florida for a once in a life time holiday. The charity was established in 1987 and work tirelessly to raise funds for the annual Dreamflight trip.
Dreamflight is a charity that has always been close to the heart of Arnold Clark as Liam Burns, Arnold Clark Citroen Franchise Manager, explains:
“As a business we are always interested in ways to help the community and Dreamflight truly is a fantastic organisation. The cost per child for each trip is a huge sum and to be able to raise these funds year in and year out since 1987 really is an admirable feat. Because of this we are happy to be able to donate to such a determined and charitable organisation as Dreamflight.”
Dreamflight annually raise a staggering £750,000 for the entire trip and it is down to their army of volunteer fundraisers that the trip takes each year. The chartered Boeing 747 and medical equipment and medication make up a huge part of this budget.
However Dreamflight cater for much more than this with extras like a personal DVD of the trip for each child, a swim with dolphins experience and treats like ice cream and popcorn for the entire trip all budgeted for.
