An explosive start to the 2014 Arnold Clark Real Sale

Well, that’s it; Christmas and New Year celebrations are over for another year. For many, the 25th will have been spent in the presence of loved ones, a day in which we exchange gifts with family and friends.

However, at Arnold Clark our generosity lasts more than a single day, and is, in fact, spread over a number of weeks. We are, of course, talking about the Arnold Clark Real Sale.

Launching on Boxing Day, the Real Sale is Arnold Clark’s annual sale where thousands are knocked off the prices of a selection of our used cars.

Last year’s Real Sale customers saved an average of £652, making a grand total of over £10 million saved, and this year, early indications are that we’re on course to eclipse these figures.

On the Real Sale’s launch day alone, our website recorded 71,356 vehicle searches, an increase of over 20% on last year, and a huge increase on the number of searches conducted on our site on a regular day.

And it’s not just the amount of searches on our website that was up on last year's figures. We managed to attract over 44,000 unique users to arnoldclark.com, an increase of over 12%!

The Real Sale so far at a glance

  • Number of mobile visits (smartphone and tablet) – 111,938
  • Combined users since Boxing Day – 129,968
  • Jump between number of users on Christmas Day and Boxing Day – 125.86%
  • Number of pageviews on launch day – 449,089
  • Number of sessions on Boxing Day – 58,095

It’s still early days in the sale though and we fully expect these numbers to continue increasing on last year, which would make this the most successful Real Sale in our history.

There are huge savings to be made on over 15,000 cars at over 200 dealerships spanning the full length and breadth of the UK, with 8749 of them under £10,000. This really isn’t a sale to be missed.
