Furious 7 (3rd April)
The Fast and Furious films are always packed with amazing cars, and Furious 7 promises to be no exception. The film is set to be a huge blockbuster this year, not just as fans return to see the usual fast-paced action and shed load of supercars, but it will also be poignant following lead actor Paul Walker’s sudden death in 2013. Furious 7 is the last film that Walker was working on, and his final on-screen performance is sure to be close to the hearts of the actor’s fans.
As for the cars, of course, you can expect plenty of eye candy. There are three in particular that really stand out.
- Bugatti 16.4 Veyron– Despite the 1000 horsepower supercar almost reaching the end of its production life, it will still be featured in the film. The car costs a huge $1.3million, and can reach 253mph and stay there for 12 minutes. Hitting 60mph in just 2.5 seconds, it’s a speed-hungry machine that we can’t wait to see on the big screen.
- Ferrari 458 Berlinetta– This is one of the best-looking Ferraris, which is powered by a 570 horsepower V8 engine. With a top speed of 200mph, we’re sure the Berlinetta will be able to keep up on the Fast and Furious set.
- McLaren 12C– The McLaren 12C is seen in the trailer being driven by Letty Oritz (Michelle Rodriguez). This hyper-car is the follow-up to the legendary F1 released in 1998, and is sure to take the Ferrari 458 for a ride. It’s powered by a 3.8-litre V8 engine and can push out 616bhp.
Other notable mentions… There have been far too many cars announced as featuring in the new Furious 7 film for us to list here, but we also can’t wait to see the Dodge Viper SRT-10 and Dodge Charger R/T Hemi. But most of all, we’re excited for the ridiculous 10,000ft car drop that includes a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T, a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT 392, a 1968 Camaro Z/28, a 2014 Subaru WRX STI and a 2014 Jeep Rubicon X. ‘These movies kind of defy physics and logic to some degree,’ said director James Wan. Yep. Long may it continue, James, long may it continue.
Jurassic World (11th May)

The partnership between the Jurassic Park franchise and Mercedes-Benz continues this year, as Jurassic World features the new trendsetter, the GLE Coupé. The car was designed specifically for the film, and was tested for off-road capability on the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and Kaua’I and on a NASA base in New Orleans. It was tested in these remote areas as an effort to keep the car under wraps from the press – and it worked. The car has only just been revealed, and will be brought to market in June 2015.

Mad Max: Fury Road (13th May)
Often remakes of older films struggle to capture the magic of the original, and you’re left wondering why anyone bothered – but after seeing the Mad Max: Fury Road trailer we can’t help but think it’s going to be absolutely brilliant. And, naturally, the crazy cars have something to do with it. Seriously, some of these cars look like the devil told Xzibit to pimp his ride. Steel cages? Check. Bird skeleton on the dashboard? Check. Skull gear stick? Check. Flares? Check. Spikes? Check. Prisoner strapped to the front grille? Check.
But of course, let’s not forget the legendary Pursuit Special. In the new film, Mad Max will be driving the same supercharged coupé based on a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT, that will later be destroyed in The Road Warrior. (Fury Road is actually a prequel to the 1981 film – it’s all a bit Star Wars.) Needless to say, we’re excited to see the Interceptor back on the big screen.
Spectre (16th November)

Spectre, the new Bond film, promises to be another blockbuster hit this year, and as ever, Bond’s car will be a central feature.
We commented on the big Bond Car reveal last month when the big news hit that it will be the Aston Martin DB10. Aston Martin have had a connection with the James Bond franchise for half a century, since the iconic DB5 was designed for the 1965 hit, Goldfinger. The new DB10 promises to be just as jaw dropping as the DB5 was all those years ago.
Details still haven’t been revealed yet, but from the images that Aston Martin released, we do know that the exterior is sleek and refined, and looks like undeniably iconic. In terms of what powers the DB10, we can only speculate, but it is likely to be the brand new 4.0-litre V-8, which is expected to deliver around 500 horsepower.
Mission Impossible 5 (25th December)

The fifth Mission Impossible won’t be released until December 2015, but that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate about the cars that will be shown in the film. The BMW partnership will continue, and if you’re a BMW fan, then you’ll probably wince at the news that a car trailer was spotted carrying loads of damaged BMW M3s after Mission Impossible 5 filming.
The M3 will be released later this year, and will include a 425 horsepower 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine and can hit 60mph in just 3.9 seconds.
